In Construction & Project Management, Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Cert in Civil Engineering, Cert, in Waste Management, MCIWM, C.Env., MAPM, ICIOB. Enda is a Senior Executive Engineer in Waste Operations with Cork County Council(South Division). He is a Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Waste Manager, a member of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (ICIOB). With over 8 years experience in the fields of environmental and waste management, Enda has worked for the most part in the Local Authority service since 1997, specialising in Waste Management and in Waste Operations in particular
Experience includes waste licence applications for landfill facilities, waste licence implementation on landfill and civic amenity facilities, environmental management systems, project management of the design, construction and operation of civic amenity facilities, landfill cell and capping construction, preparation of tender documentation and tender evaluation of waste related infrastructure. Other areas of expertise relate to the permitting of waste facilities, waste enforcement, street cleansing and infrastructure development, overseeing implementation of WEEE Directive in Cork County including facilitating reports on WEEE arisings prior to introduction of the Directive and advice to SME`s on waste reduction & recycling programmes. More recently, a core member of the project implementation team set up by Cork County Council (South Division) for the introduction of Pay By Weight. This involved the distribution of 33000-wheeled bins, the purchase of new collection vehicles, public communications and the upgrading of existing bin lifter stock.
Currently project managing the rollout of a kerbside collection system to 33,000 customers following a successful pilot scheme covering 6,200 houses in 2005 including bin distribution, tender preparation for materials processing and evaluation, communications to customers and internal staff and all associated work elements.
